Spa Calme is a new spa located in the historic waterfront village of Ste-Anne de Bellevue, a picturesque suburb of Montreal. At just 1,600 square feet, the long, narrow space required an expert designer touch and meticulous planning to carve out three treatment rooms, a relaxation room, change room with full shower, reception area and retail display. The transformation is beautiful inside and out, since extensive plumbing and repairs were needed to make the 80-year-old space functional. To achieve a chic, organic look, interior designers Alain Courchesne and Anna Abbruzzo chose a soothing natural palette accented by crisp white. Custom glass shelves and clear resin Gliss stools add sleek shine and a modern touch. Layers of luxurious texture come from the grasscloth wall covering, faux gold leaf, sculptural wood mirrors, environmentally friendly InterfaceFLOR carpet, high-end fabrics and whimsical porcelain wall tiles.
