Igloo Design’s principal designers were inspired by vibrant orange sunsets, soft desert sand and stunning azure skies when they created the new colour palate for Montreal shoe store Arizona. The fresh update and rebranding was designed to help give the 10-year-old commercial space more opportunities to grow and thrive during a planned expansion of the three-store chain. Details like a reptile-skin-inspired wall covering, mosaic tiles reminiscent of turquoise jewelry and sculptural bleached wood accents further refine the look. Punchy orange Textus fabric on the ottomans and a contemporary area rug by Ege  make the space luxuriously comfortable. The clients’ request for front-of-the-store storage in the 550-square-foot space was fulfilled with practical yet beautiful studded cabinetry. It all adds up to an atmosphere that is chic and upscale, rather than cowboy.
