Exposed beams and pipes, soaring ceilings, and bamboo floors: this Montreal condo—a converted loft in the historic St Urban neighbourhood—had great bones. Igloo Design’s principal designers elevated the compact (less than 1000 square feet) open concept space even further by carefully planning the layout to include extensive cabinetry that is both practical for storage and links the different living zones together seamlessly. Airy Kvadrat  screens by Maharam separate the bedroom from the living room without sacrificing privacy or natural light, and grey walls combined with glossy white millwork add an intriguing twist to the colour scheme. Fornasetti area rugs,  Bisazza glass mosaic tiles on the full-height fireplace and glowing coral, poppy red and gold tones throughout inject sophisticated warmth.
